Kable's, the Hotel's premier restaurant, offers a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. It enjoys a substantial reputation, in a city known for its exciting dining. Accessed from the lobby's sweeping grand staircase, Kable's offers a cosmopolitan Australian menu in an elegant, contemporary setting of dark-stained parquet and rich carpeting. It seats 120, with private dining rooms available for 10 to 50 guests, and a chef's table in the kitchen with seats for up to 16 guests. Offering comprehensive fitness facilities, the Spa and Fitness Centre occupies 350 square meters (3,767 square feet) on level three of the Hotel. It features a well-equipped fitness area with five upright and recumbent bicycles, as well as Lifecycles, Stairmasters, treadmills (each with TV monitor and headphones)**Re-styling Note: From August 2008 until Mid-December, 2008, several floors at a time will be closed for replacement of carpeting, wall coverings and loose furnishings. Technological improvements will include 40" LCD flat screen televisions (50" in suites) with i-Pod/MP3 player connectivity, DVD/CD players, wireless internet access and proximity door locks. All work will be carried out between 9am and 5pm and will not be visible or audible to guests. No constructions work is involved so noise will be minimal and localized, on par with ongoing maintenance.
