Overview
Located in the heart of downtown London, the Delta is conveniently close to the train and bus terminals, London Convention Centre and John Labatt Centre. Originally constructed in 1905, it was the location for training Canadian soldiers during the two great world wars, children will be fascinated by the archival photographs, uniforms and other wartime artifacts on display throughout the Delta London Armouries. With all the attributes of a big city, this small town is full of surprises. London, also known as the Forest City, boasts miles of beautiful pathways and acres of rolling parkland. The home of Sir Frederick G. Banting, co-discoverer of insulin, this little city was originally set to be “New London” the capital of Upper Canada in 1793.
